Fish, Fisheries & Fishing
Where passion, work and a lifestyle meet.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania where my passion for fish originated. Fishing small streams and creeks became my escape, and I quickly realized I wanted to turn my passion into a livelihood. I moved down to Florida where I earned a B.S. in Marine Science & Biology, and a minor in Environmental Science at the University of Tampa. Soon after, I shipped off to Louisiana State University where I completed my M.S. in Renewable Natural Resources with a concentration in Fisheries and Aquaculture Management.

Today I am grateful to fulfill my dream of working in fisheries as the Sustainable Fisheries Communications Manager for Florida Sea Grant. Through my current position I am able to utilize my fishing knowledge and experience, scientific background, and passion for the sport to promote conservation and ethical angling. My current project focuses on reducing catch and release mortality from barotrauma in Gulf of Mexico reef fish. It is my goal to continue to use my scientific and angling expertise to be a part of the evolution and success of fisheries management.
